Continuous Heat Press Garment Fusing

Core Functions of a Fusing Machine

A fusing machine serves four primary mechanical and thermal functions during garment assembly:

  1. Controlled Heating: Delivers precise, uniform heat across upper and lower heating zones to melt the thermoplastic adhesive dot matrix on the interlining without scorching delicate fibers.
  2. Mechanical Compression: Applies calibrated, pneumatic, or spring-loaded pressure across the entire surface to drive the molten adhesive into the yarn interstices of the shell fabric.
  3. Continuous Feeding & Alignment: Uses synchronized transport belts to guide cut fabric components flatly through the heating zones without stretching, distortion, or grain skewing.
  4. Rapid Cooling & Stabilization: Uses an exit cooling zone (ambient air fans or refrigerated suction bars) to rapidly drop the temperature below the resin's melt point, locking the bond in place before handling.
