A fusing machine is a specialized textile and
garment finishing device that permanently bonds fusible interlining to base
fabric through the precise, simultaneous application of heat, pressure, and
time.
Core Working Principle
The interlining carries a thermoplastic resin (such as
polyamide, polyester, or polyethylene) coated on one surface. When processed
through the fusing machine:
- Heat
melts the resin into a viscous fluid.
- Pressure
forces the melted resin into the yarn structures of the shell fabric.
- Time
ensures uniform heat penetration.
- Cooling
solidifies the adhesive, creating a permanent, washable, and dry-cleanable
composite layer without damaging fabric drape or texture.
