A Jarkan Live Gumming Machine (also referred to as a live rhinestone gumming or hot-fix diamond coating machine) is an industrial textile-finishing device used to apply a uniform layer of hot-melt adhesive glue directly to the back of Jarkan (rhinestones, acrylic crystals, or glass diamonds).
The term "live" refers to the active, inline heating and liquid adhesive-coating mechanism. Instead of buying pre-glued hot-fix stones, textile manufacturers run raw, unglued stones through this machine to coat them immediately prior to sheet transfer or direct heat-pressing onto garments.
Key Functions
Automated Adhesive Application: The machine feeds stones across a conveyor bed beneath heated roller or tray dispensers, coating the flat base of each stone evenly with hot-melt glue without spilling onto the faceted glass surface.
Temperature & Viscosity Control: Integrated digital PID controllers maintain the glue at a consistent melting point, preventing premature hardening, charring, or uneven viscosity during high-speed runs.
Speed & Feed Synchronization: Adjustable conveyor belts (typically available in 20-inch to 26-inch widths) allow operators to match the coating speed to the production rate of downstream fusing or transfer presses.
Cost Reduction: Applying adhesive in-house drastically lowers raw material costs compared to purchasing pre-gummed hot-fix stones.
Glue Curing and Quick Tack: Delivers rapid activation (often curing or setting within 3 to 5 seconds on downstream presses) to create durable, wash-resistant bonds on fabrics.
Typical Applications
| Industry / Product | Application Details |
| Ethnic Wear & Sarees | Heavy diamond border work, motifs, and dense patterns on sarees, lehengas, and dupattas. |
| Garment Manufacturing | Embellishing t-shirts, denim pockets, evening dresses, and abayas. |
| Footwear & Accessories | Applying crystal embellishments to bags, shoes, sandals, and belts. |
| Transfer Paper / Sheet Production | Mass-producing rhinestone transfer sheets using shaking/stencil trays that are later heat-pressed onto fabrics. |
