Key Operational Best Practices
Avoid Thermal Shock on Synthetics: Polyester and nylon can glaze, shrink, or change color if heated too fast. Set the entry heaters slightly lower to warm the fabric before hitting peak bonding temperature.
Preserve Wool Texture: Excessive pressure crushes the wool pile and causes surface shine. Use moderate pressure with slightly longer dwell times to allow the adhesive to melt thoroughly.
Test Peel Strength Before Full Batches: Always run a test swatch and perform a manual peel test after the fused piece has completely cooled (at least 2–3 minutes) to verify bond integrity without strike-through (glue oozing to the surface) or strike-back (glue sticking to the belt).
