Key Operational Best Practices

  • Avoid Thermal Shock on Synthetics: Polyester and nylon can glaze, shrink, or change color if heated too fast. Set the entry heaters slightly lower to warm the fabric before hitting peak bonding temperature.

  • Preserve Wool Texture: Excessive pressure crushes the wool pile and causes surface shine. Use moderate pressure with slightly longer dwell times to allow the adhesive to melt thoroughly.

  • Test Peel Strength Before Full Batches: Always run a test swatch and perform a manual peel test after the fused piece has completely cooled (at least 2–3 minutes) to verify bond integrity without strike-through (glue oozing to the surface) or strike-back (glue sticking to the belt).
